Jason Beard Studio is a London-based graphic design studio and consultancy.
Beard designs books, exhibitions, identities, websites, album art, packaging, clothing and typefaces.
A multidisciplinary designer, Beard has worked with some of the foremost artists and institutions in the world. His award-winning design is renowned for its formal rigour and innovative structural and material components. He typically draws from literature, film and social history as well as art. Having edited and curated, Beard takes a holistic approach to communicating an artist’s work.
From 2002 to 2021, Beard was Co-Founder and Creative Director of the arts publishing company Other Criteria, where he published books and editions with artists such as Sarah Lucas, Fiona Banner and Gary Hume.
Born in Aston, Birmingham, Beard studied at Arts University Bournemouth before moving to London. As the first person in his family to work outside of manual labour, he cares deeply about representation in graphic design.
