Damien Hirst—Theories, Models, Methods, Approaches, Assumptions, Results and Findings
A monograph for the artist’s exhibition at Gagosian New York, the book places the work in the context of images and texts taken from medical journals and papers. Accompanying matter and imagery is taken from various sources, including pathology papers, and surgeons and doctors accounts of their practice. Images are chosen to deliberately blur the line between the artwork and the images that illustrated the articles cited. Leather bound, with a diagram of what happens to the body after death on the cover. A printed sleeve adds a clean (but removable) clinical feel to the book. Published by Gagosian.
